Back Stage indie Report wanted to bring you some of the amazing folks in Idie music promotion tha are working hard, being creative, and kicking butt to support and promote the Indie Artist. Our team assembled a list of industry pros and after some brainstorming and more than some yelling and tantrums, we are proud to bring you the fascinating people in this article. Jacqueline Jax is a Fashion Designer, Singer, Author, Pro NFL Cheerleader Miami Dolphins, Brand Ambassador and Radio Host of AVA LIVE Radio, a show about the Indie music industry with artists interviews and more.
Needless to say, Miss Jax probably does not have a lot of free time. All her other accomplishments aside (since we are an Indie industry publication) she has developed a cult-like international following through her radio program, presentation skills, educational videos, and a genuine love of indie music. Based in Miami (just like Back Stage Indie Report) she has built a marketing machine that has inundated the web and social media universe. Maggie Vail, Executive Director, Outreach & Education for CASH Music
With two decades in the industry , not only an indie record executive, but a musician too! Maggie worked and help run the indie label Kill Rock Stars eventually becoming it’s Vice President.VP. About six years ago she took her expertise to CASH Music. Maggie also heads up Bikini Kill Records. If she is not in the office you can usually find her playing bass for the band “Hurry Up”.
CASH Music is a nonprofit business that has developed a new way of helping artists navigate the new digital landscape (or land mines) of the indie music industry. CASH Music realizes that the musician have come out at the bottom of the food chain in this business fights on behalf of the indie artists.
